St Mary's is by far my favorite site and although derelict is somewhat too popularat times.
I have had many contacts with spirits at the site over the years(as well as with idots at times!) the aura of the place is very powerful and oppressive and overbearing at times.
I often feel compelled to make the journey from GX, and this compultion can only be sated by a visit. Can anybody explain this?
Of late the site has had fencing placed round it and there has been talk of 'saving' the structure by turning it into a 'Bothy' so walkers may rest there.(sic)
This would be a disaster I feel, and in the current economic climate is unlikely to go ahead.
