Well, my first report in aggggges
After months of not getting out and about on an explore - and more importantly not getting the chance to try my new camera/lens/tripod out, finally went out today with Vintage (cool to meet you man) to St. Marys, a site which I've done a few times but knew it was a cert for getting in.
Met Vintage in Sunderland about 10:30 and, using my brilliant sat-nav drove up to stannington - a journey which was briefly upped a few notches by nearly skidding off the road :S. Like I say, the sat-nav turned out to be a bit **** so ended up having to walk through the muddiest field in the world to actually get to St. Marys.
When we actually got there it was in a worse state than when I was there a year back, it was evident the snow had taken its toll as water was steadily dripping in from the roof :S
Anyway, after a few hours inside we walked back to the car (again thru the muddiest field in the world) and headed to maccy d's for a much needed snack.
Also worth mentioning that there was some (altho not alot) of graffiti about which defo wasn't there last time I went...always sad to see.
Won't bore you all with details etc as its been said and done a hundred times, for the time being heres me photos.
You can see the holes in the roof in this pic
The rest are here
Gonna upload the HDR later on
