Steetly Magnesite - Hartlepool - July 08

This place is Steetly Magnesite in Hartlepool and I must say it's a fantastic place. Half demolished, half remains and it's like something from the end of the world, true industrial Armageddon.

There are some incredible shots to be had and the colours are almost alien. Everything a good explorer needs is here from huge tanks of green water, toxic sludge and a lovely chimney.

It closed in 2005 though being there you would think it closed back in the 1960s. Some more info here.

AWESOME! I remember being told about this place, a mate had been, wanted to take me but we never got round to it. he showed me his photos of the place, a lot like yours. awesome!!!!
