Explored this place back in October..

"Stein Atkinson Stordy (SAS), are world-wide leaders in Thermal Processing Equipment. The company's headquarters are in the West Midlands in central England.

SAS's origins go back to 1916 when English furnace engineer James Atkinson joined forces with French industrialist Charles-Marie Stein to form the company then known as Stein & Atkinson. Stein Atkinson Stordy was formed following a merger with combustion engineer Jack Stordy in the 1960's."

This is the old SAS building, they recently moved (2003?) to a newer property the other side of town. Didn't really have enough time in here, must go back.

Probably my smelliest explore to date

Cheers man :)

I forgot to mention, this place has offices and all sorts - it's just I was solo for this explore and I didn't have that much time to get around to checking them out ;/

Awesome. My brother lived just down the road from here years ago, now in Telford. Jeez, I didn't even know it had closed!!! Nice job!

Cheers man!

You should check it out while you can as it seems some of the units next door have been bulldozed, the next few can't be too far behind!

It's also a short distance from Bratch pump station, which isn't exactly urbex, but it's real cool.

Someone should scan and post some of these old photos!

Interesting

What is up thoes stairs in the second photo

What is up those stairs in the second photo

I did think about that as they were near enough pristine. I put them somewhere clean/dry though, so maybe someone will rescue them..

Up the stairs had like a small office space - a couple of over-turned desks and some old letters. It's also where the MYH sign was.
