I am really surprised how little this site has been done considering its size. The sight is just north in the cosy Village of Stoke Orchard. The sites job was to find an economical way of extracting oil from coal, they found a way but it wasn't economical enough. This is a great place for anybody who likes industrial sites. The site really does stick out there with its tall water tower and even taller chimneys.

Anyway, we left my house at about 10:30 on our bikes (if only we were 17) for our long cycle. We arrived at the site and locked our bikes up. Going along the path we were surprised at the shear size of the place, we could see it from a few miles away when we checked out the nearby Stoke Orchard ROC Post (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=455259#post455259). As we entered the site this is what we saw.

Enjoy the pics.

We next went into the main site where we found some corrugated iron storage bunkers
