Me and a friend had a drive around Derbyshire and came across this pub standing at the side of a busy road. The
Telmere was opened in 1981 and before the pub it was a home built for the manager of the Grassmoor colliery which closed in 1950.
The pub had a Alice in wondered theme ( my favourite book! ) but sadly had financial problems and closed it's doors in 2017. In 2020 the pub suffered a huge fire a arson attack. Its now demolished and new houses are built on the former site.
Upstairs was quite bland and not worth posting the pics. No beautiful wood work or brickwork like downstairs.
