"The Ark" - March 2014

I almost didn't get to see this beauty of a site, but after a late text exchange when I was at work and after the quickest turnaround ever, I was on the train.

After a few hours' sleep on a friend's sofa, we were in the car and off down to Liverpool where we met up with a few others.

As the place has been done to death recently, I'll just get on with my photos as you all probably know the history.


I could imagine people filing through the door on the left when I was taking this shot.





When the light was good enough, we ventured into the main space. After seeing many photos of this place, the vast size of this place absolutely amazed me. It's such a stunning building.









After a little play on the piano and organ, we made our exit and went onto our next location.

Yes, it is nice to see the 'time of service' indicators in their proper context with the layout of the actual entrance to the inner sanctum.
