Visited last December with a non member. A lovely little find in the middle of the countryside, two semi detaches
properties. Sadly one was sealed tight, which was a shame, as peering through a gap in a board across one window
we could see plenty of lovely heirlooms. So, on to the other house. Pretty trashed, but a fantastically poor 60s
framed print made it all worthwhile, along with some pretty cool curtains upstairs.

A second visit in January with NakedEye was cut short with a visit from the owner's son and a couple of his "friends".
Could have turned nasty, but we got away safely.

No history on the place, but found some brick ovens in one of the outbuildings, hence the baker reference.

Here we are, outside two lively red brick houses.

You've done a grand job Ian! I was faffing in the downstairs room and got my ONE shot when we were joined by the 3 muskateers [cracking shot of a hand!]!! Such pleasant country folk! I have all 3 as my pen pals now :p

must have had a heck of a bang to break the cast iron surround, nice to see the old clothes drier still hanging down, great photos.

Classic example of an idiot trying to use a pry bar to pinch the mantle, without first locating the concealed fastenings. Cast iron mantles and supports are in fact quite fragile unless treated with care during the removal process - experiences of a student working on demolition sites during summer vacations in the early 60's! That 'plastic era' drier is still being manufactured I believe by the Chinese firm that brought the rights.
