A place on Earth were life stopped in April 1986 when the Soviet nuclear plant went into meltdown . Who's been on here and how do you go about visiting this ghost city?

I used to think like that, bit of a tourist hotspot, loads of the same photos of the same things.

But I went recently and it's one hell of an experience if you go there with the right mindset.

The circumstances don't allow it. I do agree it would be a great trip.

I'm told the tours are the best place to start for Cherno n00bs. Doesn't make sense trying to run before you can walk so to speak. I'll get round to it in time...then once I've tested the water, try more daring endeavours and ideas!

I'm planning on visiting this year.
There are a few tour group companies that can arrange a tour.
