The L'Allasudz IX Tour took place this past weekend, and was attended by jerm IX, dallas1983, L'Ali and msgsudz. A handful of locations were visited, all of them in my regular rotation. But it was nice to visit them again with a posse.

The Carmel Line Miracle? House

...Within minutes, I heard a motor running. Looking down out a bedroom window, I saw a pickup truck parked directly below. I announced the presence of the vehicle to the group and asked them to stay inside. The man in the driver seat locked eyes with me as soon as I exited, ducking under the collapsing roof over the door. He opened his door, and before he could utter a word, I raised my camera and informed him that we were just exploring and taking photographs. He had no problem with that. After asking him about his connection to the property, he informed me that he rents the land. He wished me a good day. I wished him the same. Then he pulled away and faded into the cold morning. And so we continued doing what we do. And then soon after we followed in his tire tracks.

The Welcome Inn
http://jermalism.blogspot.ca/2011/08/abandonment-issues-welcome-inn.html
...I returned to explore the Welcome Inn with dallas1983, L'Ali and msgsudz, approximately 18 months after my first visit. Again, as we pulled up, David was out front. This time though, not with his son, but his dog. He didn't spot us, and as we exited the car, we couldn't locate him.
Assuming he went inside the house, we took it upon ourselves to look around. Unlike our first visit, almost all of the rooms of the Inn were sealed up tight. In the restaurant, I was rather astounded at the condition of the dining room floor: There were several holes last time, but it is like swiss cheese at this point.
Surprisingly, the pay phone, while covered in a layer of film and dust, is still operational.

The tour continued from here, but alas, this is where I must metaphorically hop out of the car and fade off into the distance.
The group photo at the top of the article was taken at a former file factory, that was recently the site of a high profile grow op bust. That post update is in the works. Thanks for checking out The L'Allasudz IX Tour folks, and thanks to my comrades for another great day of exploring.
