The Poplars July 2014

Having to go to Derby we decided to pay another visit at the Poplars. This once beautiful house is in a poor state, which I can't see being saved any time soon.
The Poplars was a former Brewery managers house and was built in the early 19th century.
It has some beautiful views from the back and side of the property and also an array of wildlife.
When we arrived we were greeted by a squirrel who was climbing a tree with a carrier bag.

I went nearly a year ago , It looks like someone has attempted to keep people out with new boarding
but access is still available. They have chopped up the old wardrobe and used it to cover the landing window. .

Corrr, theres still some lovely decay there despite it being a bit worse for wear!

I wasn't laughing when I first entered the grounds and this noise came out of the tree, I thought maybe someone was in the tree cutting them back, but it was a squirrel with a carrier bag!
