The Railway Barracks (Pic Heavy)

[Romford Reject]

Built in 1869 for 600 soldiers and used by the military until the 1950's where it was sold to the town and used as flats for families in poverty. Made a listed building in 1991

Explored with Jakob on a fine Sunday morning









This was in the cellar, previously used for an air raid shelter


Even found the foundation stone in the cellar

There´s a rumour going round that there is a tunnel in the basement leading to the nearby station. We only found a wall which was obviously not as old as the barracks and hidden by a lot of garbage.
