The Tavern
Sometime this year during my trip to manchester/liverpool/middle of nowhere!!! I had things I wanted to see and places as a back up if I had time, I had time so decided to take a look around here, I had recently seen a friends video on youtube and the place looked rather beautiful! now I have only explored one pub since I began this weird hobby and I soon understood that much better was out there to look at
I have tastes and pubs just dont tick the boxes for me, but this one did be it the charm of the place or its history I am unsure, but something about this place lead me to park up outside a supermarket and walk right in, no planning no care in the world, a few people looked but to be honest they soon got in the car and left.
So anyway my second pub! shocker but maybe you can see why I liked it, sure its been kicked about abit and upstairs is no doubt a sex den for teenagers, but lets overlook this and just think "they dont make pubs/taverns like this often"
The origins of this building date back to 1685, since then modernized and changed over the years, opening up as a pub in 1983, it later opened as a club and restaurant in 1985, then on it did well up until 2015 where it closed its doors as a local pub and guest house, probably due to lack of funds and changing of managers so often. It is a listed building and has planning permission for housing... lovely more cardboard houses.
Thanks for looking
