Thrapston Railway Yard

Every time I see this driving on the A14, I turn to Mrs UrbanX and say “You know if I were on my own I’d be straight in there” Well I drove past on my own yesterday.

I’m not local to the area so don’t have much history to the site, sorry! Although the site stands next to the railway line which closed in 1965, so I’m assuming it had some railway related duty.
