'Tinsley Towers' Sheffield - The End Of An Era

Hi all,

Having never posted on here before, I thought I'd attempt to give you the first photos of the Tinsley Towers as they were demolished this morning at 03:01. There's only a couple of photos, and the final one may be blurred because it was a bl**dy big bang, lol.

Funny thing is, they spent all that money preparing the towers and then it still didn't bring them down cleanly. Tower 1 is to the right and Tower 2 to the left.

As I left the car park, Tower 2 was still half intact (oops). Guess they should have got ol#Fred Dibner in to do the job right, hehe.

As the thread title states - the end of an era - Sheffield will never be the same again

it's funny that eon said they had to come down because they were in danger of collapsing. yet when they strap a load of explosives to it, some of it stays standing
