Second visit in Suffolk was the old tolly cobbold brewery..this brewery is one of the oldest family breweries in the country, establishes in 1746 by two brothers in ipswich.specialising in beers they grew to be a successful company,in 1992 the company started doing brewery tours of the complex, but in 2000 Ridleys brewery bought the company and the brewery shut down.plans are afoot to redevelop the site.this was a nice place to visit, although the place had been stripped and the copper vats had been stolen by metal thieves, how they got them out I don't know.i wanted to get some externals, but there was a massive storm as we left so there was not a chance.
