Triage-Lavoir was a coal washing facility built 1954. In its heyday, it processed over 3,000 tons of coal daily. It closed after only 15 years of active operation. All machinery was removed shortly after closure but the remaining shell is fascinating to explore and beautiful to photograph.
It has been classified as a monument to be saved and is undergoing some renovation although this is happening very slowly.
