Unknown Hut - 01/2015 (img heavy)

My nephew mentioned an old hut type building in some woods not too far from where I live so we decided to go and have a look. I don't know anything about the place, what it used to be or when it closed down. It's nothing special but I thought I would get some pics anyway.

The location is just off Clipstone Drive in Forest Town, a small walk down a bridleway path.

Liking the smashed up panelling on the sides. I was going to say - with all the Police tape and what not, there must be a story to it, but smiler beat me to it ha! Cool little explore!

I'm not quite sure if there is a story behind this one. I was asked if the police tape and keep out sign's mean't anything to me to which my response was... if it can be stepped under or over than it is pointless and the only thing I left behind was footprints.

I did hear that some kids managed to get hold of a roll of police tape and put it all around the perimeter. How true this is, your guess is as good as mine.

The high level windows and gable end ventilators suggest this was originally some type of rearing shed - pheasant or grouse chicks for a local shoot?

The keep out signs etc are probably there because the asbestos sheeting looks pretty friable in places - even though the place looks pretty damp. As for the 'Police Tape' - In all the crime scenes I was involved over the years, the police force involved (County or BTP) always removed all notices and tape after the Scientific staff handed the site back. So children messing about could be possible.
