I went to PC world today for some RAM and while I was out I thought I'd check out the old building on the river Tawe bank at Swansea, theres a couple there, I did this one first and was going to do a few more but I managed to cut my leg up a bit so skipped the rest. But I will go back soon. All shot on a Canon 30d. Wayne

Nice collection of pictures

That Sierra (or whats left) is totally knackered!

There's something about these buildings that I really like. The metal joists against the different coloured brickwork and the round windows...not to mention the ivy! Love it.

Do you mean the pile of rusty metal? That's a car?? You even recognised the make???
Blimey!

Just need a little clean up and an MOT thats all. Wayne:lol:
EDIT how the **** can you tell that was a Sierra??

Two things.

First, i've been on site and seen it in the flesh.
Second, im a petrol head and recognise a rusted car from 50 feet

I can even tell you that it was silver by the tiny 4" square of paint thats left on the N/S rear wing bumper hold point. Also it was a MK1 model with the square headlamps.

/anorak

Tawe Bank/Landore

Excellent pictures of what's left.
This whole area used to be a mass of abandoned & derelict sites, all long gone by now.
Shame we never had the foresight to photograph them while they were still standing.
That's why this website is so important.
There used to be a cracker of a building about where the B & Q superstore presently stands.

Congratulations to the Sierra spotter. There must be a position available to you with a forensic police department somewhere. I'd love to know how they managed to get a sierra into that spot.

Baal, sorry didn't reilise it had already been done.

Captain Slow, I'm still impressed, I had a look at the time (and I used to own a sierra... yes I was the one!) and I didn't recognise it. Wayne
