Hey all.

Met up with diluted in Dudley and tried a site close to him that we've been looking at for a while. Not sure as to the origins, but the HUGE building next door was used as dry storage for gambling machines. Couldn't access it, but could could peek in through a few holes in the wall. Pics taken on my phone, so pants quality!

There was loads of junkie stuff around, and even a bloody laptop bag that had been robbed and dumped. Nice place, and not much to see.

In the car, we set of for the first of our 2 main targets, St. Edwards boys school in Coleshill. Now carrying our gear, we went off to explore this beautiful building, and home to lots of treasures I'm guessing.

Total bust, went all arounf the place, and was WELL sealed shut. One place we got in was the boiler room down some stairs, but it lead no-where, so back to the car for a quick drink and sausage rool before heading off to Corby British Steel site.

After another hour in the car, we arrived at the outskirts of the former Brotish Steel site. After a bit of a reccie, we got into the grounds and managed to explore the old weighbridge buildings.

We then decided to head over the train track and into the HUGE rolling mill shops. Bearing in mind that we thought this place was derelict, there seemed to be rather a lot of new looking vehicles in one building, and we also saw a rather live Corus security hut. Not as derelict as we thought. Up over the bank and onto the next buildings we headed......

Just as I'm about to go into the first rolling mill hall, diluted says "dude, van!! White van coming right at us" The buggers must have cameras that we couldn't see, and the sods were coming at us. All I could think of saying was "Seriously?!?!" Shocked that it was actually still live, we just legged it back to the car as fast as we could. We had a good laugh at this point and off we went back towards Walsall to reccie some more places.

Wlsall was a total bust, so off to the jewellery quarter we went. Our usual hunting ground is now rather empty. Most of the places we've seen have been stripped or demo'd so no second visits. Another few were now being converted, so no chance there.

Off to the Lord Clifden for a burger and lick of the old failed explore wounds. Such a bad bad, from what should have been a great victory.

There's always next week I guess!!!

Looks like you got about a bit. Almost every buiding at St Edwards is usually accessible, though it may not always look that way. I think its been one of those days today, I had a rather strange morning exploring wise.
