Another set of pics that I've taken forever to upload! Visited with Gromr123 back in July. Nice to do two very different explores back to back, one derp and the other bellow ground. Great day out.
Despite being an empty building, I really enjoyed this place. The level of grime and decay, the near pitch black of some parts, the lovely staircase and a great view from the top.
Some history that I shamelessly copied and pasted from JSP77's report!
"William Thomas Henley was born in Midhurst, Sussex in 1814 and started his working life as a porter and docker working in London. Through force of character, hard work and by educating himself in the sciences, Henley was later able to found his own business.
In October 2009 it was announced that one of the last manufacturing companies based by the River Thames in Northfleet, Henleys/AEI, would be moving it's remaining operations to a new site in Sandwich after more than 100 years in the town."
Thanks for looking!
