I am adding my writeup to the end of this report to keep it all in one thread:
Sometime in April, i went to Epsom in the snow and decided to take some exterior shots of some of the old familiar hospital sites
http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=4101 . A few weeks later i had Jaff Fox, Havoc and Lawrence with me to see some of the southern explores and made it first priority to go back and get inside West Park. I was also joined by Kate, another explorer friend.
After spending some time traipsing around in the rain, we found our way in and it felt as familiar as it did in 2005. Many of the wards had been secured up and the site was harder to navigate but before we knew it, we were snapping away - it was good to be back.
Many of the roofs had been damaged, and as a result West Park had started to decay a lot more rapidly than before - somehow this made west park feel more interesting and characterful.
The padded cell had been well secured, i don't know whether that is a good thing or not, at least it won't get wrecked.
After some time we pressed on, leaving some unfinished business but an enjoyable explore nonetheless.
St. Ebbas
St. Ebbas is very much the same as when i visited late last year, although due to asbestos removal - many more areas are now accessible including admin.
All in all, a good day and good to get some interior photos as a followup to the last report!
