I returned to West Park for the second time with Spadge, 0xygen, MC Nebula, Patch and Dangerous Dave. It was a rather dry day but pretty cold...at one point a few flakes of snow fell and in true five-year-old style I was rather excited by it. I love winter and snow! Another treat were the deer that leapt through the grass, flashing their white tails as they disappeared into the tall vegetation. It was a shame I couldn't get a photo of them as we crept around the outside of the building but they were gone as soon as they saw us. The autumn leaves turning golden added to the beauty of the scenery.
I managed to cover parts of this place I never saw on my last visit such as the service tunnels and a place in which I'm informed a music video was shot, which sadly has been burned out. There were however some interesting bits and pieces left behind such as an old sewing machine and parts of a jigsaw as well as some wards that were a bit flooded and made an intresting splashing echo.
Dangerous Dave got separated from us and we were wondering where the hell he was for most of the trip and were rather concerned when we couldn't round him up upon exiting. Thankfully we found that he was waiting for us outside and was fine...just with a deceased mobile.
Service tunnels...dark, damp and disorientating fun!
They had radio here...I wonder what broadcasts were like?
Genuine olden days shopping till.
The thing about not judging a book by its cover applied here-weren't many interesting pictures inside.
A poem about shedding the pounds.
The old sewing machine.
We appear to be a few pieces short of a jigsaw puzzle!
The ward in a puddle.
Where the video was shot.
No roof upstairs here.
