Seems everyone is going here and as previous reports state like a swiss cheese then it would be rude not to go.

Explore places not seen by us before. last time we could only look inside nightingale annex.

Today lakeview [home of the angry wasps in the roof], some other place i dont know the name of, the mortuary [yay, apart from 2 massive dead rats and a dead cat-we assume it was a cat], some other place i havent a clue about the name of and just as we were leaving we discovered a nifty little place and were then in the corridoor link thingys.

pushed for time so could only explore the 2 A wards [i forget their names] and barton/burford but alas the padded cell remains elusive. have a theory where it may be.

**** ourselves on numerous occasions, worst has to be when i was standing on the threshold of a doorway and looked down to see what the floor was like to discover a 6ft+ drop down to complete darkness/basement. and god how easy is it to get lost in there?

some pics i took, im trying not to repeat any pics others have taken but theres been so many recently i probably have repeated.

Anthillmob, you have excelled yourself. I am pleased you've got in after a few unsuccessful trips in the past. I like your selection of photos, they are very different from the normal tourist shots.

cheers all. ive not seen that graffitti in shot one before but its been a couple of months since my last confession..sorry visit to WP.

we were quite dissapointed about the 'getting in' thing and then fate smiled upon us. if anyone can tell me the whereabouts via pm if necessary of the padded cell i would be eternally greatful as i know we were within sniffing distance.

im so suprised we never encountered anyone else. if you are ever there and encounter 2 girls and a small hound please make yourself known. as mentioned on here before we take the small hound as our security [personal]

unfortunately the hound found what we assume is a dead cat in the mortuary before we did, she has been bathed i am pleased to report.

i must admit ive played a little with my pics colour and contrast wise but nowt else.

has anyone else encountered the open door of doom? with hindsight i should have tried to close it but i shat my pants rather a lot and left pronto.

we encountered this rather dodgy room when we last went, the floor was fine on our first visit a month or so back!

Erm, annoyingly for you, i believe this is the downstairs of the ward with the padded cell being on the first floor. It's long past it's best though sadly.

I agree with Buckowski..you werent far away at all from the cell...I too am pleased you finally got see the insides.Also good to see different angles and particularly the reports...I didnt shoot any of these..too busy dribbling over the peely paint!Did you see admin`s leaves turning red...gorgeous.Well done for the effort.

Interesting set, the camera creates a pleasing if not a little odd colour cast on the images.

thats me playing with the colour @ home. im no expert but practice will make perfect. quite a lot of my pics had to be deleted on account i was shoiting myself so much that even with the hand 'camera shake' program on the camera i still managed to shake.

and we couldnt sign the mortuary guest book as the pen there had run dry. damn.

im still knackered. had to get up @ 6 this morning to go to work. i could have done with a whole day in bed.

does anyone know when the demo begings? saw some equipment from wooldridge demolition [didnt they do cane hill?] parked up near security.

also that pic of the wheelchair and the zimmerframe, a friend on facebook who i went to school with worked in mental health before she had kids and applied for a job @ WP and she believes that part was used as a sort of physical therapy place, teaching people to use the frames or wheelchairs. she could be wrong she says. she didnt take the job.

sorry i forgot to add yesterday, up on the 3rd floor on nightingale annex there is a room that seems to be slept in on a regular basis judging by whats in there. right next door to the mouldy black stinky matress room.

in there was a laminated photo of some woman. so intrigued who she is i have started a facebook group as someones bound to know who she is.

note - as with here access is not discussed.

Don't know when it begins, but Wooldridge didn't do Cane Hill, it was Squibb and Davies. Wooldridge have just finished up at St. Ebbas so they probably just moved down the road to West Park for when the day comes....

Some great shots there! i would agree and say you went far off the padded cell, which is unfortunate. Some places i havent seen before in your photos, i thought i had covered the whole site other than the chapel, obviously not!

Get a tripod and get sharp pictures, thats my tip for the night!
