love the pic of the hall, shame about the vandalism though
good to see some of those ornimental lights still hanging, theres a picture on a website devoted to whittingham asylum showing the hall just before it shut, all the lights are on and its immaculate !

I've visited there a few times. Kirkbride was an excellent tour guide, pointing out what each bit was when I lost my bearings - brought it all to life!
