I heard about this place through the Forum and thought I'd do a bit of a scout before I went, eventually I had a day off work and decided to head into Oldham. A bike ride, a train and a tram later I arrived.
Williamson's was trading from the same premises in Mumps Bridge Oldham since 1920. This private family business was still run by members of the Williamson family up until it closed in . The business had grown considerably since the outset and covered over two acres of warehouse space. Since 1969 Williamson's was a major supplier of Fire Fighting and Rescue Equipment; with much of the equipment available in both new and refurbished condition. Since 1975 they were also suppliers of all variant types of new and refurbished conveyor systems.
I'm not sure when the business stopped trading as some sources say 2011 but there was stuff inside that led me to think it was occupied until at least July 2013.
Because it was miserably wet I didn't manage to get a photo of the outside of the building but I did get a good few inside:

I'll definitely be heading back on more dry day to get some more photos and try and get some shots of the other warehouse space.
I hope you enjoy the photos, my Flickr has all the photos I post on it so if you fancy it head over there:
