Last thread didn't seem to work so let's try again
So, this place sold fire and rescue equipment as well as industrial stuff and other bits and pieces. It was a family run business in my town that I had been in a few years ago and I saw a few posts about it on this forum, so I thought I'd go and have a look for myself.
The business had been going for over 100 years, but shut down all of a sudden one day in 2013 when staff were told to go home at lunch time as the company had stopped trading. In the end I believe it was put down to the new tram route cutting off access to the company, but it must have been failing before that because I don't really understand why that would have had much impact. You'd see what I mean if you saw the tram tracks.
We spent around an hour there looking around. The place is split into two parts - the offices and a storage warehouse. It was fairly obvious that people had been in due to the vandalism, but there was still a lot left to see including some equipment. The photos below show the true extent of the damage and decay.
Shelves used for storage
Old photos of equipment in the back of the offices
One of the rooms of the warehouse section. We went to the top of the blue stairs but the floor at the top didn't look too safe so we ended up leaving that part unexplored unfortunately
A few shots of the ruined offices
