Hi guys. The Canary is back. This is Yarmouth Grain Factory Part 1. On the banks of the River Bure in Gt Yarmouth how on earth this rusting hulk survived the bulldozer is beyond belief.

Good selection of pics NC -I'm guessing that that rusting hulk survived the bulldozer as it had met it's match!

yeah the office did have a very weathered look to it. The whol of the inside of the office looked like it had been left years ago although funnily enough on a table lay a piece of paper documenting the companys public liability insurance.

Thanks for the interest foxy. The Hoppers and the Silos are absolutely humongous. The factory has been like this for around 20 years now and I can vaguely remember small Coasters berthed on the river loading up. A lot of the machinery was still intact in there and some mention on the electrical switchgear of Fishmeal and A Weatrup Potato Conveyor. So maybe the place has been evolving over the years to suit various needs. I may have to have a second visit because there was a lot more to see than I had time for on this occassion. Norwich.

Hi, Ive merged the threads as its better to keep all the pictures from a single trip together. As this makes discussion much easier.

In future it might be an idea to post a few less photos.

Cheers, RM

Thanks for the interest my man. Yes there are quite a few places in Norwich although I hail from Yarmouth itself although I adore the city and the county itself.
