Ok, so its been done a few times before, I know. These are from a past visit a few years ago, when I first started up.

The site I believe generated the power for cold rolling, thats where my knowledge sadly ends. I do know its a listed building, I think grade 2, so, it will therefore be left to get worse, without doubt. Its well beyond repair I guess, but on a fine day, was a nice site to walk around.

It now has a Car park -Park and Ride- facility next to it, and is quite overgrown, more so than on these pics.

Peering from the woods at what would have been once impressive to all, but now, just to us.

Looks now as it did in construction, almost ready to plume smoke again.

And Closer.

It will never work again.

To have walked, to have talked, an entire social system crumbled like this floor.

The ironwork of the roof, is quite nice actually - quite ornate, it has charachter, which is not used in construction these days. (Geek I know)

Well, thats my first post here. I hope you enjoyed!

Good report, but would like to see the pics a bit bigger!

That's a fabulous site. I haven't seen this one before. Lots of interesting details and especially like the ironwork roof supports. Nice one! :)

went past here today and sadly it is completly flat.

How do they get away with flattening grade 2 listed buildings? Is it a case of, "Oh look its unsafe now, better demolish it for the safety of the public"

um the whole point in the grade 2 listings is that thay dont get flattened so i think you might be getting confused on sites here this is next to the park n ride in swansea btw

my mistake, I posted it to the wrong report, supposed to have been on the unit super heaters report

Only just seen this thread. A well taken set of pics in me own opinion :)

The ironwork in the last pic reminds me of the framework of the Crystal Palace in Upper Norwood.

Thanks for sharing buddy,
