The Battle headquarters is accessable throught the original emergency hatch, although i have no internal pics due to the amount of rubbish and dead things inside. The exterior is in very good condition and is also guarded by many sheep.

ADS: 1941-47, Battle Headquarters, now derelict. 21 ft x 8 ft (6.40 x 2.44m) underground complex of rooms c. 6 ft (1.83m) square, accessed by a flight of steps at southern end of structure. A 6 ft (1.83m) square concrete observation cupola rises 3 ft (.91m) above the roof of the main structure. A 360 degree narrow observation slot in the cupola permits all round vision. An emergency exit hatch is adjacent to the east side of the cupola.

Much love.;)

Crikey... looks like they really went overboard filling that entrance with rubbish, shame, as it looks like it could be in decent condition, going by the exterior pics.
any other airfield remnants nearby, Dumptyboy?

Man up and get down that hole!

After all, we did last year and it should be a bit easier now *** & **** moved the bags of sheep bones and rubble for us to slide down the hole* Bit of advice - wear boots as its full of sheep guts and silt in the lower section.

* The resulting shit was then transfered onto the seats of my Volvo
