So the weather wasn't great today, i thought i'd have a gander at this site. It is pretty tight from the front, but if you walk the field to the back of the site, its a case of hopping a small barbed wire fence.
as far as i'm aware this site was mothballed in 2005, and it appears it is in the beginning stages of being dismantled/demolished. there is a lot of asbestos corrugate in this place, so will probably take a fair while.
The majority of the buildings seem tight (unlike their other sites i've been to), probably due to a kid falling through a roof a couple years back, but im sure with some determination you could get in. i was alone, so didn't fancy taking any risks.
Like i say im pretty sure there is activity in the site, i found a contractors log, which showed landscape people had been there on the 20/12/11; and there are regular imerys patrols.
as i say the weather wasnt great, so i didn't get many pictures.
i also found this gem, walking back to the car, must have driven past it a thousand times!
