Originally build as a non denominal church, the Ryman Auditorum was from 1940 to 1974 the home of the Grand Old Opry.
After 20 years left empty it was reopened as both a music venue and a museum.

4. From the wings, originally the seating continued along the edge of the stage, but when it was reopened they had to be cut back due to fire regulations.

8. For many years the compaire was the comedy character Minnie Pearl, not sure who the fiddler is.
9. Another alteration was a new reception area.
