Truth is he works for a contractor and is pulling data cables for the sensors he has to set up and monitor. I know he takes photos but I have not seen any. He is getting run ragged after going to work early and coming home late. He tells me he has to do a H&S induction for each site he goes to which seems like bullshite to me

TBH, from experience of the construction industry, that sounds right – you have to do an induction at each and every site the first time you go onto it, even if you have a CSCS card.

Meantime, I do know that exploring folk are poking around HS2 sites, but it's on the down low. ;)

100% even with the money making scheme that is CSCS all sites have site specific inductions.
some bigger companies like smurfit kapppa that I work on have one (3 hour) induction then you are digitally logged to go on any of their sites which is good but the majority of house builder sites still want you to do a individual induction.

I get the importance of this but the CSCS scheme is just a complete money making scam IMO.
Much like CHAS which is a company certificate some of our customers refuse to pay us if our chas cert has expired! they will still let us on site to do the work but then just refuse payment which proves it has no relevance to the safety of how we work.
