St Mary's Hospital, Stannington, Dec 08

Hi there, I've wanted to see inside St Mary's Hospital in Stannington for a while now and on Saturday I finally did it. I went along with my friend who is also into derelict places.
We quickly made our way into the site, away from the security and houses. As we were quietly making our way around the site we noticed no secuirty making their rounds at all.
I know this place had been documented before, hope you don't mind my pictures. I tried to keep the report brief picking out my favourite pictures.


I'm new to HDR, just been messing around, I like this one. This was one of the many large dining rooms.

This was the lovely old theatre, the floor was soft and dangerous.


I think this was a store, there was shelving upstairs with different types of clothing labelled on each shelf.


This was the main Cafeteria, nature seems to rule here!


Some lovely wood eating mould / fungus

I wanted to see inside the morgue but we couldn't find it, I know where it is now, we'll have to return soon to see it. We walked right past it on the way out without realising it

Lol, Scammell is tucked up for the winter

Nice pics...interesting place.

Nice photo's; I've never managed to get inside.. it's a good place to walk around though, lots of different areas and buildings.
