That'd be the vast majority of places we go in wouldn't it?
You could well be right but if you think the area contains the stuff steer clear. Mind you I found out during my sessions at Fiarmile that the Main Hall was lined with sheets of it. I'd been in there as a kid to functions and many people on here have been in the place as it was very popular. but never knew it was there was any danger till I was told. Mind you it was all painted over so you would not have known. At the end of the day it's your choice to explore only you can see what is there and if it is safe or not. Its a case of using your common sense

We all live with the stuff every day of our lives, for example schools are riddled with all forms of asbestos. As long as it is managed it does not present any real threat.
As with entering any building, asbestos may well be present but as long as precautions are taken it should not encroach on your activities.
If there is enough interest I may at some point right up a short summary on asbestos, its uses and typical locations etc.. not the obvious stuff that most of you know about not the less obvious stuff that you may come across and not realise.

Whilst I appreciate your time in this matter, surely it would be better to refer people to definitive sources of information (HSE etc) rather than reinvent the wheel, potentially missing out stuff, and giving people a false sense of security because they've read a thread about it by some anonymous person on a forum? There is already a wealth of highly researched and well presented information out there:

Where can you find asbestos?

HSE - Asbestos: Asbestos essentials

Asbestos frequently asked questions

Etc etc etc.
