Aston Hall Mental Hospital

Visited with Jaff Fox. We have been meaning to do this place for a while but only just got round to it, and enjoyable little place and very relaxed explore, its a little trashed but otherwise not in too bad condition.

The pool and hall is the best features here and the funky tiles that are all over the place, whilst in one block we heard windows going through, when we looked out the window it was only local chavs potting the windows, to which they was promptly told to f**k off or they would get a crack, they where rather taken aback and even apologized then wandered off, with that we carried on and took in the rest of the place.

Love that pool and the cubicles. love the pinkish tiles, and really like the wooden steps up to the stage in the main hall.

Nice one, we never got in the pool or hall. When we went there were plenty of people about, really surprised how hassle free it was though lol

Well done you guys,glad to see you got into certain parts that we didnt manage.Its a great explore and quite an area,well worth the effort.

By the way,I love your style with the window smashing chavs,I would have loved to have seen their faces when you popped up and advised them
"to leave".

Aston on Trent I believe?? Just southwest of Derby. Am I correct?

Its called Chellaston, I live here theres nothing apart from Merrill College which was flattened last year!

There's an abandoned farm on the road to Derby near Aston.

We went for the third time this week and there was two cop cars and all the 'ways in' had been re-boarded up which was a shame as I finally brought a torch. Did you go underneath the stage or up the ladder behind it? I did a SAS style sneak into the premises but the cop car was riding around like a Panzer in occupied Europe so we made a hasty retreat!

a lot of my friends live in aston and there has been community groups talking about the old hospital and the pikeys stealing things.

still a good place to explore mind.
