From how you describe it it sounds like Houghton Grange. Yes it does have CCTV. Other places it tends to be a deterrent.
 
.. but don't give it a try if it's a certain ex-orphanage, near London. They catch you there within about 10 minutes, as secca is based just down the road!

Actually just realised this thread started in 2017! Is there an update on whether the OP went there or not?
 
I'm going to add my thoughts here. As someone that installs and manages CCTV at my place of work i'll tell you something.

Do we monitor the CCTV. Sure sometimes
Do we Record CCTV. Yes all the time for about 30 days.

Would i catch you if you went on site, Did ZERO damage and left the site as was. No i would have no way of knowing.

I and i'd assume most people would review the video if they see something happened. If you break a door or lock you will get caught. If you walk around a site and leave with no damage or disruption i'd never check the video and it will get self deleted.

So would CCTV put me off. No not if i'm following my code of ethics. If someone is planning on breaking into a building that is another story.
