I've been lurking on this site for a while so thought it's about time I start sharing my explores!

Checkendon Polish Resettlement Camp.

Really enjoyed wandering through the woods looking for the few remaining buildings. I knew the general area but didn't have any exact pins. I will be going back as there's a couple that I missed but I ran out of time. It's a shame people have been in and smashed it up over the recent years.

There seem to be a lot of scientific bits for a resettlement camp - more like a physics lab.

That is a bit near home, I I've had a nose around one side of the road and found the bases of some buildings which I thought was a POW camp but you came across the one which was a church. Nice little explore

The church is near the road, but you have to go around to the back to see the entrance. I nearly missed it! Definitely worth checking out the "lab" building which is further in the woods down the road.

I have got the places mixed up, I poked around near Nettlebed. I have been to the Church in the Village a while ago, never thought to go elsewhere

great report, thanks for sharing, I stopped by yesterday after work, did a full circuit of what was the camp, found all the buildings in your photo's. It's well worth a visit, loads of info here about the camp.

Ahh okay, sounds like I need to take a trip back to Nettlebed then!
