Hartford Brewery - Second Attempt - May 2012

[UE-OMJ]

My first attempt to get anywhere here was a complete fail, followed by a number of reports from other people who actually got in, most annoying.

So I headed back, and dispite getting various tips of what I missed to get in, I still didnt find those particular access points, but I did find another.

And as usual, me being professional and fully prepared, was advised to take wellies as there is a lot of water, well I ended up doing the explore and the drive home with soggy trainers and socks cos I didn't listen

We still missed quite a lot though, we didnt see the bar or office area.

Visited with 'bambi'. You'll find out who she is later... (named bambi cos she keeps falling over incase she forgets to mention that bit on her introduction post.)

Nice! I wondered why I hadn't seen Tolly Cobbold for ages. What's the story with the children's toys and what have you? That didn't look like abandonment so much as forced removal of the kids. It's not as though a kid would want to part with their fave toys. Wierd.

I think landie has the Wrong brewery Steve urs T d ridleys & sons brewery Essex and Landie did Mcmullens Hertford in 09 with good old Lazy.bar The vats have been moved ,as for that its not faired to bad considering to be fair as it's so out of the way.
I think Speed covered in in 2006 just after it closed?

There's lots of water in one of the pics, I lost count scrolling down though so cant tell you which one.

The bed/toys are from one of the three houses at the side of the premesis, presumably lived in by some of the workers and their families. Sad though to leave them behind like that.
