Had a really fun day today meeting a old friend for some exploring .
Why is everything so much funnier when you're doing things you shouldn't!? Having your mate stuck in the only tight entrance/ exit, not once but twice in 2 separate buildings really is hilarious
This place is absolutely beautiful.,Grade I listed dating back centuries. Originally a family home/ manor house, then a hotel and venue for weddings, and retreats.
I won't be showing external photos of this part of the explore as we did get in ( much to our amazement) and got to explore a few rooms and a floor, before climbing the Second set or stairs and being stopped in our tracks, by a male coughing above us.. Most likely security, there is a car parked outside.Thank goodness he did cough. we were able to quietly back track, tip toeing and gently closing

doors behind us, and shatting ourselves whilst trying to remember the way we got in. Maybe he heard us and shat himself, coughed to scare us off, it worked!
The photos I did take it's looking pristine and not derelict enough for my liking. There is also a Victorian ice house that was unfortunately locked.
Moving on to another building which was a hotell but much cheaper, without the chandeliers and frills A courtyard accommodation that allowed for the use of the swimming pool, golf and tennis courts but without the price tag. Considering this place has only been empty 7 months it's shocking! It was housing for immigrants before finally closing .There wasn't a sink left intact , most of the windows have been smashed, and I' was surprised to see the old windows, no double glazing, considering people paid to stay here. Most of the rooms were the same, but some wonderful peely paint porn
The first few pictures will be the manor house/hall then move on to the courtyard accommodation ithat also sits in the 20 plus acres of land.

I had to climb back in and find a stool for her to get out .

I had a fun sneak round the main grand hotel the other month. Sounded like at least two live-in guardians.

This is only the third post (on anything) I’ve seen about the main grand hotel. So that bit isn’t getting tooo tour bussed. Although I mostly don’t keep a close eye on what others get up to. One video post was of someone getting caught by a startled nice chap.

Although the old skool explore part is, well, old skool. So everyone know where that is. So you marry the two up.

Yeah, definitely live in security. I'm glad really as it's too beautiful to get trashed. I'm so grateful for that cough probably saved us getting arrested

they had the radio or TV on on top floor and music on in a bit that’s kinda back officey down a corridor near the cctv screens. So I didn’t get to do every nook and cranny but plenty, and a bit of fun completely going undetected with the live in guardians. At one point one came down the lift just as I was near it, so I ran and hid for a bit. Then continued when the coast was clear moments later. And I’m sure I heard one walk about close by, even though they were playing music, a few floorboards and a door weren’t exactly stealthy, so I’ve no idea how they didn’t hear me at that point. Sounds like we both got ridiculously close to the live in guardians. Bless em.

Nah you wouldn’t have got arrested even if they rang the police. You’ve got evidence as to why you were there. But yes, it’s a good job they’re there. The grand hotel definitely needs to live on.
