With our original mission being to see if we could still get into West Park, and failing miserably, Strangely Brown and I went to take a look at the rest of the original Epsom cluster of hospitals. Firstly we drove into Long Grove and admired the original administration block...

We then proceeded to Horton and were surprised at how much of the original hospital remained unused - only problem being that slap bang in the middle of those were in-use residential units.

After Horton we took a fleeting chance of getting into St. Ebbas, and it was easier than i'd envisaged. Although a majority of the buildings appear well secured, we still accessed the main hall and some other adjoining buildings. I was pleasantly surprised (with exception of the bird shit) hall and bank.

Please excuse some of the darker interior shots, i didnt take a tripod.

Sweet!

Dang, imagine Long Grove's Admin as a single residence, now that would be a killer pad. :)

Surprised to hear that there's still many bits of Horton undeveloped, seems like they've been working on that place forever now!

So West Park was atleast fun trying? What did you come up against? Myself and st00p joked about going to take a look at the old girl on our way back from London drainage the other eve, was never going to happen, I felt way too dirty and in need of an emergency shower to stop for anything!

Nice to hear Mr. S Brown is still getting out and about.

Yeah Long Grove looks really sympathetically developed and the admin is really nicely presented.

Horton has loads.

West Park was fun in trying but I don't much fancy going back unless i'm with someone who know's what is what. SB and I were shocked that inside that pathetic rickety fence we came up against motion sensors in the grounds linked to swivelling CCTV with infa red night vision - even right round by lakeside villa it was all sensored up. Security are on-site and the main hall courtyard has a huge fence around it. Boards on all ground floor windows and welded shut tunnel entrances.

Yep SB is still out and about :)

Love that pic of the chair in the squared light patch. Neat!
Wow, I do like that hall; it looks a little unusual. In fact, overall it looks like a rather interesting explore.

Cheers for that, Mr B.
Foxy :)

Damn, that didn't take you long Marlon.
I'm still smarting at the crazyness of the security measures at WP. It's gone from one extreme to the other, madness.
I'm glad we managed to get into St Ebbas, something had to go right eventually, although it should be renamed St Guano's, it's a bit popular with the pigeons. Nice pics BTW, I got to have a look at mine yet to see if the camera actually focused on anything. It seemed to work OK when I got home.
And JD, I was surprised at so much of Horton being unconverted, not only that though, part of the site is still in use.

what a fantastic place, really beautiful pics again, I actually really love the one of the toilet! the reflection and lines and light are gorgeous;)

argggggggg! haha, no its going alright really its just sort of getting to the panicky stage now where I really do have a deadline and I have to try to focus the huge amount of stuff there is to write about urbex into something concise and eloquent that makes sense.... the day I spent with you was so helpful though, was really good to go around with someone whose been doing this regularly for a while and pick your brain a bit!

Thanks for the kind comments FL.
Camera was playing up for some reason that day. Wouldn't focus in the strong sunshine. Thing's getting a bit old, pretty much like it's user.

Very nice SB, looks like it managed to focus well on those ones. Like the broken glass projector stairs one.:)
