At the start of August I needed to go to Gateshead to drop someone’s crap off out of my life but as it was a trek, I decided to incorporate some explores in. But sadly I wasn’t in the mood to do many as planned, but this was one of the handful I did to make my trip up there worthwhile. Plus the fact that one area I was going to look at a few things, riots were going on. So just came home after the handful.

Due to dwindling numbers this place closed. It was a traditional Orthodox Jewish Community, providing rabbinic, religious and pastoral services to all Jews in the region. They offered daily minyanim, regular social events and other community meetings. I think they’re planning to demolish it.

There’s also a cottage onsite to explore. There was another building with lights on, and there was a car round the back… I didn’t know if someone was living in the other building or if it’s all a decoy, so left it.
