Well this has been on my "to do" list for some time and recently I, at long last, got my ass down there.

Weather was bright which was nice but did make for pesky high contrast scenes.

Save covering old ground as regards the history of the place [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorpe_Marsh_Power_Station"]here[/ame] is what wikipedia has to say on the place.

If you haven't been here .... go ... really go now. It's quite an experience being stood in the middle of one of the huge cooling towers - outside of the tower there was a very moderate breeze ... inside I was getting buffeted something rotten. Also the echo effect is quite impressive.

It was strange on arriving it didn't really grab me as an explore ... but it grew as time went by and finished up loving the place and looking forward to a re -visit. Anyhoo enough waffle time for the piccies:

how about next weekend ? (weather permitting) - think gaz is moving house but if a ceratin someone was right it might not be around for much longer

Fabulous piccies, newbie. Nice to see some that are a bit different too. Gotta love those cooling towers...just wish I was near enough to go see for myself.

thanks it's a fab place and I feel it's one of my best shoots - B7W suits that place so well too
