Exploring Smithfield Old Fish Market - London 2016
A walkthrough of the historic Smithfield Old Fish Market.
This site built in the late 1800's, as an extension to the main meat market, has laid derelict for some years now. In the video you will see the market, old Red House, the basements and underground cold stores and even a bit of the rooftop.
A lot of old relics can still be found under there, including old carts & trolleys and lots of empty tea chests. Theres even a coupe of newspapers dated 1965 !
The place has seen better days too, with roof collapses all over. Some parts have fared better than others.
What does the future hold for this historic site ? It's rumoured that the Museum of London are to move into the old fish, as well as old meat market.
