Did it decay naturally or has someone been at it?

Both, but the natural decay has taken over most of the human trashing.

Given the condition of the place, sliding up the banister seems like a good way to terminate one's manhood.

It might not have been the mnost sensible decision of the day but manhood still intact!

The red had just started to show on 1 or 2 Will look great when they all catch hold over the next couple of weeks

It looks very trashed, but at the same time there does not seem to be much vandalism as such.

As Krela says a bit of both but I do think this one had less of the vandals than some of the others. Its not free from evidence of chav parties etc but the natural decay over powers that

It's amazing what time does to these places, I have long wondered about Whittingham. I'm amazed it still exists.

Remarkable! I love the room that's been colonised by creepers. Pity it's such a mess inside though.
